Victoria is the capital of British Columbia, and home of its 124-year-old Parliament Building.
Victoria boasts more than a dozen gardens and parks perfect for walking, biking, and picnicking.
The Coast Salish peoples have inhabited Victoria and the west coast of Canada since 9,000 B.C. Their presence is still felt today in the numerous totem poles located throughout the city.
Since 1983, Victoria has hosted the acclaimed TD Victoria International Jazz Festival.
