Playing in Tropical Waters
The warm tropical waters that surround Koh Yao Noi are the ideal playground for lovers of diving, snorkeling, kayaking and more.
Diving and snorkeling. An experienced Dive Master will guide you on a diving excursion with the reassurance of a certified PADI dive center. Because the island remains largely untouched by tourism, native marine life is diverse and abundant. Your accommodations are close to the Similan Islands, recently ranked as one of the 10 best dive sites in the world.
Kayak tour. Take one of the resort's traditional long tail boats out into Tha Lane and Lam Taeng channels to the mangroves. The water is calm and an experienced guide can describe the flora and fauna that surrounds you as you kayak gently through the water.
Phi Phi Islands by speedboat. Made famous as the setting for the Leonardo DiCaprio movie The Beach, the secluded Phi Phi Islands are accessible by speedboat. When you reach the island, look for the native monkeys, natural limestone cliffs and magnificent caves.

Tap Water
As the tap water in most areas of Thailand is generally not potable, your best bet is to purchase and drink only bottled water. Most restaurants offer it on the menu as well. If you're experiencing a language barrier, ask for nam kowat, a bottled water.

Count on sunshine and warm temperatures during your vacation to the island. Monsoon seasons normally occur from May through July and September through November, bringing gusty winds and sporadic downpours. These storms, however, don't usually last long, allowing sunny skies to take over.
