Getting Around

You’ll most likely arrive in Peru via Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM) in Lima. From there, you’ll hop on another plane for a quick one-hour flight to Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (CUZ). You’ll then catch a private bus (operated by Consettur) to reach your accommodations at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge.

To get to the bus, we recommend taking a taxi to the Aguas Calientes train station. Once there, buy your ticket ($20 per person; must be paid in cash) from the Consettur booth. Buses depart from the train station headed to Belmond Sanctuary Lodge every 20 minutes from 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The drive takes about 30 minutes. On the way back, buses depart from the hotel headed for Aguas Calientes train station every 30 minutes from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Private transportation outside of these hours is available at a much higher cost (roughly $350 one-way).
